The W-L Crew team is seeking sponsors for our current season
W-L Crew is one of the most storied public high school teams in the country. Started in 1949 by legendary coach Charlie Butt, W-L Crew has had a long history of developing student athletes and achieving competitive success nationally and internationally. Our program has produced dozens of elite rowers as well as many high school and college coaches.
Our team operations are sustained by team dues, limited support from Arlington County, as well as student-run fundraising events and sponsorships. We rely on contributions from parents, friends, family, donors, and sponsors like you to cover the considerable costs of boats, coaching, travel to races, and other equipment. Support from our community is critical to ensure that our doors remain open to all students.
Team sponsorships allow us to purchase new boats, help with upgrades and maintenance to our existing fleet or provide a scholarship to help someone in need be able to participate in the sport. Equipment is by far the largest expense category of the team, and without outside contributions, W-L Crew would not be able to compete at the highest levels of rowing in the region. As active competitors and rowers, we offer visibility for you and your organization in a healthy, active, and engaged community.
