Our 2026 season is off to a remarkable start. I’m thrilled to report that we are finally back on the water after some delays related to the Potomac River interceptor collapse. Safety conditions are in our favor right now, but we are continuing to monitor the water quality data closely, always putting the health and safety of our athletes first.
This week, we are hosting spring break training after an excellent showing at St. Andrews. Key upcoming events on our calendar include the Ted Phoenix Regatta, TBC Bustle, Charlie Butt Regatta, VASRA Finals, and Stotesbury Cup. We hope to see everyone cheering us on throughout the season—and be sure to save the date for our annual family and alumni picnic at Columbia Island Marina on April 25!
In addition, we have another special event coming up on April 18 following the TBC Bustle. We are the proud owners of a new 8-boat for our girls’ team, which we will name after esteemed W-L alumna and coxswain Ellie Cochran—the first girl to win a medal at Schoolboy Nationals. Please join us at Columbia Island Marina at noon as we christen the Ellie Cochran and honor her amazing legacy.
Thanks so much to everyone for your support this spring and all year long. We’re looking forward to a wonderful season.
