You can learn more about us on our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/w-lcrewboosters.org\/meet-the-coaches\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meet the Coaches page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Winter conditioning is just getting underway, with novices and varsity team members gathering after school every day to erg, run, and weight train. It\u2019s been wonderful to see our enthusiastic rowers back in action and our new rowers eagerly learning alongside them!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the past few months, our team and the Boosters have been tireless in their help as we prepare for our big <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/w-lcrewboosters.org\/introducing-our-new-home-columbia-island-marina\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">move to Columbia Island Marina<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They pulled weeds, laid gravel, assembled dock pieces\u2014whatever was needed! Please contact us if you\u2019d like to help, as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our fundraising season is also in high gear.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all know that fundraising isn\u2019t fun, but the team\u2019s enthusiasm around the task is a clear indication of how much this sport means to them. Already, we have sold holiday wreaths and supported the Optimist Club Christmas Tree sale. We are now selling See\u2019s Candy and preparing for our Mulch Madness fundraiser in February\/March.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019d like a sneak peek at the spring racing schedule, check out our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/w-lcrewboosters.org\/calendar\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Events Calendar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. We have a full slate of regattas planned\u2014from St. Andrews and Stotesbury, to the Potomac and Sandy Run. Please plan to cheer us on\u2014and be sure to save the date for the Charlie Butt Regatta on April 26.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are a few upcoming events at which we welcome supporters and alumni:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>W-L Holiday Bazaar \u2013 December 7, 2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 10:00 a.m. \u2013 4:00 p.m. at W-L High School. Visit the Crew Team booth to purchase wreaths, coffee, chocolates, blankets, and more!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Eat at Raising Canes in Seven Corners<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><b>December 11, 2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Mention \u201cW-L Crew\u201d and the restaurant will donate a percentage of your order to the team! For online orders, use the code RCFUND96.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>W-L Crew Triathlon \u2013 January 25, 2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Relive your high school days by participating in our annual triathlon! There is a designated alumni category! We\u2019ll post details <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/w-lcrewboosters.org\/save-the-date-w-l-crew-triathlon\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> soon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all know how much effort and dedication it takes to row; running a rowing program takes even more. I am so grateful for the Boosters, alumni, and friends who have done so much to make this program successful.
