Winter Conditioning runs from late November until the start of the spring season in February and is open to any Arlington 8th-12th grader. This is a general conditioning program with a specific emphasis on rowing. Sessions are held 5 days a week at W-L. No experience is necessary. This training is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged for any athlete thinking of rowing in the spring who is not doing another winter sport.

[/vc_column_text][nectar_horizontal_list_item columns=”2″ column_layout_using_2_columns=”even” col_1_text_align=”left” col_2_text_align=”left” col_1_text_element=”h4″ col_2_text_element=”h4″ font_family=”p” hover_effect=”default” hover_color=”accent-color” col_1_content=”Step 1″ col_2_content=”W-L Athletic Registration & VHSL Physical (Must be completed before winter conditioning)” url=”https://wlathletics-ar.rschooltoday.com/”][nectar_horizontal_list_item columns=”2″ column_layout_using_2_columns=”even” col_1_text_align=”left” col_2_text_align=”left” col_1_text_element=”h4″ col_2_text_element=”h4″ font_family=”p” hover_effect=”default” hover_color=”accent-color” col_1_content=”Step 2″ col_2_content=”Complete Team Registration Form” url=”https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdRnkcBaSn8UO06ztJfQjsTsYqBDlGQFxUoPewA55GHxancrQ/viewform”][nectar_horizontal_list_item columns=”2″ column_layout_using_2_columns=”even” col_1_text_align=”left” col_2_text_align=”left” col_1_text_element=”h4″ col_2_text_element=”h4″ font_family=”p” hover_effect=”default” hover_color=”accent-color” col_1_content=”Step 3″ col_2_content=”Consider Paying Dues Early (Dues are not required until February 24, but returning rowers get a $50 discount if they pay before November 30!)” url=”https://w-lcrewboosters.org/fundraising/”][/tab][tab icon_family=”none” title=”Spring Season” id=”1731685622888-0″ tab_id=”1731685622888-2″][vc_column_text]
Crew is a spring sport at W-L and starts in late February and runs until the end of May, with several post season social and award events in early June. The team is open to any 8th-12th grade student who is (or will be) attending W-L. To help you and your family discover whether rowing is for you, and to prepare you for the rigors of the spring season we offer two pre-season events: Fall Green Days and Winter Conditioning. If you can’t attend either of these introductory programs, no worries!
