The Stotesbury Cup Regatta, sponsored by the Schuylkill Navy, is the world’s oldest and one of the largest high school rowing competitions. It is held over a two-day period – ompeting crews come from schools all over North America, though most hail from the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States.

The Stotesbury Cup Regatta is held annually on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. There are over 190 schools registered to attend and almost 6,000 athletes ready to compete at the high school level from the US and Canada. Travel Schedule & Hotel
Your rower will leave for Philadelphia, Thursday, May 16 in the morning from W-L and return Saturday, May 18 late afternoon/evening.
Thursday is a travel day with practice at the course in the evening. The bus will leave W-L at 12:30 pm.
All boats that are going to Stotesbury will row in a time trial on Friday (see below)

The team and coaches will be staying at The Hilton Philadelphia City Ave., 4200 City Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131. There are rooms reserved for chaperones. The hotel cost for chaperones is $367 for the two nights. Please pay online at https://www.fund-wlcrew.com/ before the 14th.
If you have questions about the hotel arrangements, contact Chris Howard at email@example.com. We currently do not have any extra rooms for parents however there are other hotels and Air BnB’s that are not too far away. In the past parents have stayed in downtown Philly as well as the airport.
The race course is on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
The Boosters rent a tent site along the river, which will be our home for the weekend. All the food is set up here. We’ll send an email as soon as the early drivers get there . Look for the blue W-L Crew tents along the path. All parents who attend as spectators are welcome to eat at the tent – food is provided throughout the day.
Traditionally, W-Lee Boosters provides meals for our team and their parents at the Stotesbury Regatta. We prepare and serve five meals on site. Rowers are on their own for only one meal – Friday night. That evening rowers get an allowance for a meal at restaurants near the hotel. That means we cook (and need parent volunteers for):
